NEWS:
1/12/2012: 2012 Sunriver Summer Solstice Dates and Format.
Junior Challenger: Thursday, June 14th - Saturday, June 16th.
Adult NTRP: Friday, June 15th - Sunday, June 17th.
A tournament for everyone in the family!
The USTA sanctioned Junior Challenger includes singles and doubles in age divisions of 10’s to 18’s.
The non-sanctioned Adult NTRP features singles, doubles and mixed doubles for players with ratings from 3.0 to 4.5 + (Open). USTA membership is not required to play in the Adult NTRP.
New this year: due to increasing numbers of players the tournaments will be staggered a day. The Junior Challenger will begin on Thursday and the Adult NTRP will begin on Friday. Expect a full day of Junior matches on Thursday and a full day of Adult mathces on Friday. Also new this year, players will be limited to a total of one singles, one doubles and one mixed doubles event between the two tournaments. Juniors are invited to play in the Adult tournament, however any Junior in the Adult tournament will be considered a minimum of NTRP 3.5 when determining the division to play in (and you are encouraged to “bid up” if in doubt - give us Seniors a chance!).
WARNING: If you sign up for 3 events and insist on winning, you WILL PLAY A LOT OF TENNIS! 4, 5 or possibly even 6 matches in a day. Don’t forget your advil.
10 & Under Tennis: The USTA has mandated that all sanctioned tournaments for ages 10 and under be conducted in the new “short court” format with smaller courts, shorter rackets and low compression balls. If there is enough interest we’ll offer a 10 & Under event - most likely a one or two day modified Round Robin on Thursday and Friday with dedicated 10 & Under courts. As always, we’ll provide a free BBQ lunch for competitors each day during the tournament. There will be a gift bag and t-shirt when you check in. And don’t forget about all the other activities in Sunriver: swimming, golf, biking, hiking, horses, rafting, relaxing....

Tournament Check-In Directions:
Check in at tournament headquarters at the North Courts. The North Courts are located on North Core Rd between Circle 9 and Circle 6 in Sunriver. Take Cottonwood Rd from Hwy 97 into Sunriver (the north entrance). From Cottonwood Rd enter Circle 10 then follow signs to Circle 9 then North Core Rd toward Circle 6. The North Courts are adjacent to the North Swimming Pool and Woodlands Golf Course clubhouse. Matches will be played on courts throughout Sunriver. A .pdf map of Sunriver with court locations is below. Note that Grey Birch Rd is now North Core Rd.
